OVERVIEW:
PlySpace is an artist-in-residence program dedicated to offering visual artists, writers, performers, designers, and other creative individuals time and space to investigate and pursue their own practices. Additionally, it serves as a platform for experimentation and provocation by catalyzing conversation and collaboration with various Muncie communities. PlySpace approached Studio 165+ in need of an identity expanding into multiple design assets to assist in establishing the residency in the Muncie community.
RESULTS:
The design concept for PlySpace represents a partnership between the residents and the Muncie community through the integration of simple shapes to form one dynamic unit — the identity system expands into a multitude of symbols that represent each sub-brand that form PlySpace. Studio 165+ assisted in the naming of the residency program, designing the identity and additional promotional and residency assets to help target the Muncie community and residency candidates.
