The relationship between type and image has always been fascinating to Johna. This fascination and love for design and art
has turned into a passion, which has led her to pursue a degree in graphic design.

WHY YOU STARTED DESIGN
It was actually an accident! Natalie was planning to go to school to become an architect. When she went to Ball State for orientation, architecture didn't feel like the right fit. That same day, the school of art had their portfolio day. When she arrived in the building and heard the Visual Communications professors speak, she knew she was in the right place. Natalie switched her major and has been in love since the first day of classes.
ASPIRATIONS
Natalie aspires to become a package designer within the advertising industry, live her life to the fullest and enjoy every opportunity thrown her way.

WHY YOU STARTED IN DESIGN
Design is something Mariah has wanted to pursue for a long time. She chose design because it allows her to mix hands on skills with program skills which she really enjoys. Design also allows her to communicate to customers and consumers every day which is an aspect Mariah likes.
ASPIRATIONS IN DESIGN
Upon graduation, Mariah would like to move to Seattle where she wants to start as a graphic designer for a large firm. Later, she hopes to become a creative director in an agency.
