OVERVIEW:
Radiance Cinema is an immersive collaboration between the College of Communication, Information, and Media and the College of Fine Arts in partnership with the Heartland International Film Festival (HIFF) in Indianapolis. Radiance Cinema is a two-semester pilot immersion course giving students the skills and experience to produce, write, direct, crew, and art successfully in the film and television industry. Radiance Cinema will give students the chance to showcase the films they've created during a dedicated time block at the Indy Shorts Festival hosted by Heartland Film.
RESULTS:
The Radiance Cinema identity system is a combination of elements that tiebacks to cinematic framing and recording symbols. In the logomark, horizontal and parallel lines form an equal sign to represent equal participation of the two colleges. The curve also signifies radiance. In the "R" the triangle is used to symbolize the play button and in the "C" the vertical lines symbolize the pause button. In the top right corner, the right angle plays on the idea of being in a frame while filming.
