OVERVIEW:

Riverside Normal City Neighborhood Association seeks to make the neighborhood a better place to live, work, and play. Located east and south of Ball State University's campus, the neighborhood is a lively mix of homeowners and student renters. Studio 165+ was approached by Building Better Neighborhoods seeking an identity design for each neighborhood in Muncie to reflect their unique aspects and goals.

RESULTS:

This identity design is inspired by historic architecture and growth

in Riverside Normal-City. The monogram “R” uses a slanted line which was popular in the outer detail of Tudor homes known as

half-timbering.  The monogram “R” also references a leaf to signify the positivegrowth and change within the Riverside Normal-City community.
